About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 3215 Coney Island Ave, GOSHT presents a captivating fusion of halal dining with a distinctive steakhouse twist, making it a true gem for food lovers seeking both authenticity and innovation. This family-friendly restaurant masterfully blends the rich, robust flavors of traditional steaks and burgers with international spices and organic ingredients that elevate every bite into an unforgettable experience.

Step inside GOSHT, and you’re immediately embraced by an inviting atmosphere that balances casual comfort with a polished, upscale vibe. Whether you’re gathering with family, friends, or enjoying a night out, the space caters thoughtfully to all — including a quaint playground area, which adds a layer of convenience and fun for those dining with children.

The menu reads like an epicurean journey showcasing a diverse array of mouthwatering dishes. Their New York Burger and the signature Gosht Burger and Fries are celebrated for their juicy, perfectly seasoned patties, grilled to a smoky perfection that embodies the heart of classic American burgers while respecting halal standards. The Bone Marrow, praised by customers for its rich, flavorful punch, offers a decadent starter that melts in your mouth, setting high expectations for the courses to follow.

The steak selections, including the Grilled Ribeye Steak with Roasted Vegetables and the tender Lamb Ribs, serve as the ultimate carnivorous delight. Each cut is grilled in their specialized Josper oven, a method that infuses a subtle smoky aroma and locks in juices, resulting in a spectacularly tender, robustly flavored plate. Seafood lovers won’t want to miss signature dishes like the Spinach Steak or the elegantly prepared Fettuccine & Creamy Salmon, which marry fresh ingredients with exquisite flavor profiles.

Beyond steaks and burgers, GOSHT’s menu impresses with global inspirations—imagine savoring Borsh Soup that warms the soul, the delightful bite-sized Fried Pelmeni, or the spicy kick of Buffalo Chicken Wings. The Grilled Meat Platter with Sides invites communal sharing, perfect for group dining experiences bursting with bold flavors and expertly balanced textures. For pasta aficionados, the Rigatoni with Short Rib offers a hearty, comforting dish that speaks to skilled culinary craftsmanship.

Complementing the savory selections are refreshing beverages like the vibrant Strawberry Lime Lemonade and delectable desserts, with the Honey Cake often lauded as the perfect sweet finale. Diners frequently applaud the presentation and thoughtful portion sizes that make every meal feel both indulgent and satisfying.

Customer experiences reinforce GOSHT’s dedication to quality and hospitality. From Mirza Adil Baig’s praise of the bone marrow’s intense flavor and the charming children’s play area, to Monica Kh’s glowing acclaim of the Tom Yum soup—the “most delicious soup” she’s ever had—the restaurant consistently delivers on taste and atmosphere. Mohammed Ahmed highlights the seamless flow from appetizers like fried dumplings and mushroom soup to entrées such as the fettuccini alfredo and the famed Gosht burger, all crafted according to halal principles and paired perfectly with non-alcoholic mocktails. While most reviews focus on the outstanding food and friendly, attentive staff, the few critiques about occasional inconsistencies in food temperature demonstrate GOSHT’s evolving commitment to excellence and attentive customer care.

In summary, GOSHT offers more than just a meal; it presents a full sensory dining adventure that artfully blends halal standards with sophisticated fusion flavors in a warm, family-oriented setting. It’s the ideal destination in Brooklyn for those craving hearty, expertly grilled meats, innovative international dishes, and a welcoming environment where quality and flavor never compromise. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ghost (Brooklyn) This place is incredible! The food is beyond delicious — I’ve honestly never tried anything this good. Their soups are amazing, especially the Tom Yum, the most delicious soup I’ve ever had. They also have a great selection of burgers and meats, made in their special oven that gives everything a unique flavor. The salads are fresh and tasty, and they always add something new to the menu, which keeps it exciting. Originally popular in Uzbekistan, Ghost opening here in Brooklyn makes our neighborhood even better! The service is excellent, and I love that they have a playground for kids with supervision — such a thoughtful touch. Perfect spot for families and food lovers. One of my absolute favorite places in the neighborhood!

Excellent food and staff. We tried the margharita flat bread (not pictured) fried dumplings , Cesar salad and mushroom soup for appetizers. All were excellent as they prepared our entree. We went with fettuccini alfredo with chicken and the famous gosht burger. And a variety of mocktails. And we topped it with honey cake and the lava cake. The food here is halal and the drinks are non alcoholic. Service was excellent and the staff is very kind and caring.

The atmosphere was great. The customer service was excellent. Specially the employee named Daud was an amazing person. Price was reasonable too. Only the problem we had was food for which we paid lot of money and went to eat. The food quality was not too good. The food felt cold. The food was not fresh and was not cooked properly. Within 5 minutes of order they served food I don’t know how they did this so fast. We told them twice to warm up the food because they gave us cold food. We ate steak, seafood, fries and milkshakes. Hopefully they will improved their food quality.

Overall, Gosht delivered a solid dining experience. The seasonal tagliatelle with Ecuadorian shrimp was the clear number one dish, followed closely by the salmon filet. The rack of lamb and bone marrow were good but did not stand out as much compared to the pasta and fish. With strong service, a clean upscale setting, and standout seasonal items, Gosht remains a very good option for halal dining in Brooklyn. Summary of What We Tried Starters Bone Marrow – Rich and flavorful. It was noticeably better when eaten together with the pickled onions, which balanced the heaviness and enhanced the overall taste. Sides Sweet Potato Fries – Crispy, well seasoned, and a solid side to share. Main Course Australian Rack of Lamb – Good flavor, but slightly dry and hard toward the end. Enjoyable, though not the strongest dish of the night. Salmon Filet – Excellent. Perfectly cooked and not dry at all. Easily one of the best items we ordered. Seasonal Menu Item Tagliatelle with Ecuadorian Shrimps – The best dish of the entire meal. Fresh tagliatelle in a creamy garlic sauce with pesto was incredibly flavorful. The pistachios added a nice texture. The shrimp were rich and well cooked, though served heads on, which may be a bit intimidating for some. Still, this was the standout dish and absolutely worth ordering. Desserts San Sebastian Cheesecake – Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. Smetannik – Light, enjoyable, and a nice way to end the meal.

Zabiha halal. Tried almost all the burgers. Very juicy patties and fresh. Fries are 10x better than McDonalds fries. Amazing HUGE play area for kids. Still missing a lot of items from the menu to try. It’s a $$$$ restaurant but with quality and taste.

my husband and i went for an anniversary dinner to GOSHT and we were highly satisfied. From the atmosphere to the food and service everything was top notch. We selected a couple mocktails, the pom paradise and tropical tango, which were super refreshing! For starters we got the calamari and the bone marrow which were both cooked to perfection. We also ordered the baked potato with truffle and parmesan as a side and that was amazing as well. For steak, we chose the T bone and the waiter’s presentation of it was very entertaining. At the end of our visit, the new employee, Jahangir, was very hospitable and took some beautiful pictures of us and assisted with a surprise chocolate lava cake! Overall, this restaurant is a great pick for your next special occasion :)
